Expectations of the Athletes:

  1.  I expect transparency because life is filled with obstacles, some of which we may not be able to see. In working together, it is important that we plan for the unexpected and this can only be achieved if I’m not kept in the dark.
  2.  I expect commitment because the plan can only work if you work. This process is rooted in consistency to achieve the results that are desired.
  3.  I expect openness because this process will uncover many things, some of which will not be fitness-related. It is important to be open and receptive to the changes that will come. Those who embrace them are more likely to stay on track and obtain the goals that were outlined.
  4.  I expect a certain level of trust because believing in the process is a mental game that drives results. Trusting that I will make the right decisions and choices will alleviate certain pressures that are harmful to us and our bodies.
  5. I expect you to enjoy the process because through all the ups and downs to come you have made a commitment and that is one of the hardest parts. Now you can enjoy the work that is to come as this is a life decision.

Expectations of the coach:

  1. I will respond to check-ins within 12hrs
  2. I will provide honesty at all times
  3. I will provide guidance around nutrition and assist with decision-making when attending different events and restaurants
  4. I will update programs every 6-8weeks, depending on the progress that is made
  5. I will provide a monthly call to review overall progress and address and issues or concerns

What to expect from coaching with Lloyd

  1. Training Program – this is important to have a plan when walking into any gym and can be a resource during traveling as well as be adjusted depending on the client’s access to weights and cardio equipment
  2. Daily Goals (Water Intake, Step Count, Active Recovery) – this is important to instill the idea of consistency. While they may not work out every day, having these mini-goals will serve as a reminder of the journey they are on.
  3. Nutrition Guidance – this is crucial to drive results because the effort in the gym must be paired with the nutrition they provide their bodies to recover and remain functional.
  4. Video Calls – these video calls will be important to develop a rapport outside of just emails or messages. Building a genuine connection will help to develop the trust needed between myself and the client.
  5. Directional Videos – these videos will assist clients when they are in the gym to understand exercise selection and proper techniques for lifting.

NUTRITION

macro-based or meal-plan based. Show prep clients will more than likely be on a meal plan, especially the last few weeks leading up to the show. Your caloric intake/foods you eat are a key part in reaching your goals and will be used as a tool to understand your body and guide you to you body composition goals.

CARDIO RECOMMENDATION

Include either steady-state or high-intensity forms of cardio. The specific form of cardio will vary among athletes and their goals. A daily step count recommendation or step goal is included under this service.

TRAINING

Custom programs are available in addition to nutrition coaching. Every training program is customized to the athlete and his or her goals. It is recommended that show prep clients follow both the nutrition and training plan together.

SUPPLEMENTATION

Recommendations are given based upon individual lifestyle and nutrition. Other general health or fitness supplementation is also recommended.

CHECK-INS

Accountability is important to stay on track toward your goals. Weekly check ins with progress photos are required in order for me to make adjustments to your plan and track your progress over time.
